Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical Unit

Position Purpose
:
At Johnson Memorial Hospital
, the Registered Nurses (RN) in the Medical Surgical Unit deliver patient care for adult patients with diverse medical and surgical conditions.

Part time
Shift: 12‑hour Day Shift

• Continuously assess patients’ conditions, monitor vitals, administer orders and medications, and document progress throughout the patients’ stay.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions and self‑care.
• Work closely with all physicians and healthcare provider staff for close monitoring of neurological status, cognitive function, motor skills, sensory responses, and other therapies.

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
• Valid RN License in Connecticut.

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• One or more years of Med/Surg experience in an acute inpatient setting.
• BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).

• Part Time: 24 hrs/week – Day Shift
• Rotating every other weekend/holiday.
