Receiving Inspector - East Granby, CT

1st shift Receiving Inspector (7:00 AM – 3:30PM - Mon-Fri) | $72,800.00 p/y, Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401K with match

Job Description:

· Your Expertise:

· 2+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace environment

· Previous experience performing dimensional and visual inspection in an aerospace environment

· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and customer specifications Must have working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, gages, micrometers, borescopes and other measuring tools

· A strong background in manufacturing and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is required

· Previous experience performing incoming inspection in an aerospace environment (Highly desirable)

· Experience reviewing supplier certification paperwork for conformance including, but not limited to, validating material properties, dimensional results, and compliance to customer specifications.

· Experience performing XRF verification of material and interpreting results (Highly desirable).

· Experience performing and documenting First Article Inspections in accordance with AS9102.

· Proficient computer skills including a basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Your Challenge:

· Incoming inspection of castings, forgings, raw material, and semi-finished/ finished aerospace components,

· Sample inspect parts for conformance and review supplier certificates and test reports for conformance.

· Inspection includes visual and dimensional using required gaging and measuring equipment

· Interpret operation sheets and blueprints meet customer criteria for an acceptable part

· Ensure that all parts being inspected meet criteria for an acceptable part

· If a part is defective or needs re-work, Inspector must complete required paperwork associated with this task

Education Requirements:

· High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
