Do you want to be part of a team where biotechnology, manufacturing, and quality come together to support better, safer food production? A place where ideas are valued, skills can grow, and daily work has a real impact?
Join Soft Flow, a proud member of the FOSS Group in Pécs, Hungary, and help shape the future of biotechnology.

As a Biotechnologist, you will apply your scientific and technical expertise to support both production and quality control activities. A key part of this role is maintaining a high level of discipline in adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs), approved test methods, and controlled documentation requirements.

As part of the Production & QC team, you will work closely with colleagues across manufacturing and quality functions, as well as collaborating with R&D departments to help translate innovative biotechnology concepts into reliable production processes. Manufacturing operations focus on producing biotech‑based solutions, while QC ensures consistency, reliability, and high quality through routine testing and in‑process controls. Strong teamwork and daily collaboration are essential for success.

Primary

  • Consistently following laboratory safety procedures and biosafety regulations to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
What we offer

At FOSS, team members are part of an international company that is a global leader in analytical solutions for food and agriculture. You will work with cutting‑edge technologies, dedicated colleagues, and tackle real‑world challenges that truly matter. Work takes place in a well‑equipped, modern laboratory featuring advanced technologies, located in a newly built facility that supports continuous learning and professional development, all within a casual and supportive atmosphere.

FOSS emphasizes work–life balance and offers flexible working hours to support both personal and professional needs.

Qualifications
  • BSc degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Intermediate English language skills, as the company operates in an international environment.

  • Experience with biotechnology manufacturing workflows (upstream, downstream, formulation).
  • Practical understanding of GMP and QC regulations.
Personal skills

This role is well suited to individuals who demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and a consistent commitment to working in a regulated environment. Clear and accurate communication is important, including the ability to raise potential safety or quality concerns. Flexibility in adapting to changing priorities or processes is valued, alongside the ability to deliver reliable results in daily laboratory operations.

This role also requires effective teamwork, openness to new methods and technologies, and willingness to adapt to evolving regulatory requirements.
