Job Title

Department Lead

Job Overview

The Department Lead is responsible for real‑time analysis, coordination, and balance of Department Operations including allocation of tasks. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Recording and reporting of inbound/outbound deliveries.
  • Provides support in reporting, researching and resolving issues that occur in the interface between host system and WMS in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Provides administrative support for the Department Managers.
  • Develops and maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all needed systems.
  • Support Picking, Loading and other operations as needed.
  • Under direct supervision of the DC Department Managers. Work is performed within standard policies and procedures with opportunity for unreviewed decision‑making.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of warehouse experience including leadership experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Skilled at multi‑tasking and managing competing priorities.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, SAP and Red Prairie.
  • Detail oriented and accurate.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly recognize and diagnose trend and patterns in productivity data.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours determined by the needs of the department including weekends and evenings.
  • Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position.
