DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Project Manager with 3 years of professional experience to join the Engineering department. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of supporting and coordinating the full project lifecycle, from planning and execution to monitoring and closure. You will be responsible for helping to deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Project planning and execution:
Assist in developing and managing comprehensive project plans, schedules, and timelines. Ensure project activities and resources are coordinated and allocated efficiently. - Reporting and documentation:
Create and maintain project documentation, including charters, requirements, status reports, and traceability matrices. Utilize project management software to monitor project progress, key performance indicators (KPIs), and hours worked. - Stakeholder communication:
Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Facilitate project team meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and provide regular status updates to ensure everyone is aligned. Be willing to have tough conversations with stakeholders to drive project success. - Risk and issue management:
Help identify potential project risks and issues and collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement mitigation strategies. - Address day-to-day operational issues to minimize disruption.
- Quality assurance:
Monitor project outputs to ensure they meet quality standards and organizational objectives. Participate in reviews and testing phases. - Cross-functional collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as IT, engineering, and various business units, to ensure project requirements are clear and team activities are coordinated effectively.
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Trello, or Microsoft Project.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment and to be on-premise in CT when needed.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies
- Experience driving project completion
- Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements
- Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards
- Attend scheduled EH&S training program
- Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans
- Recommend improved EH&S practices
Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and third parties. This ability to communicate requires the employee to be conversant in English as the majority of our workforce and the third parties that we encounter only speak English.
