Are you a dependable and caring individual seeking full-time work in a supportive, resident-focused environment? We are looking for a full-time Dietary Aide to join our team at Aaron Manor. In this role, you will help prepare and serve meals, maintain kitchen and dining area cleanliness and safety, and contribute to a pleasant, respectful dining atmosphere for our residents.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepare meals, snacks, and beverages according to menu plans, dietary orders, and facility protocols.
- Serve meals to residents and deliver trays as scheduled, ensuring diets and special dietary needs (e.g., therapeutic or texture-modified diets) are followed correctly.
- Assist with set-up and clean-up of dining areas and kitchen: washing dishes, sanitizing kitchenware, cleaning surfaces, floors, and dining rooms.
- Perform inventory management and restocking of food supplies; monitor food expiration and storage per safety standards.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures at all times.
- Communicate with residents, dietary staff, and the care team about dietary needs, preferences, and any concerns.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager or Food Service Supervisor (e.g., special-diet tray prep, temperature logs, sanitation tasks).
- High school diploma or GED preferred (or equivalent).
- Previous experience in food service or healthcare dietary settings preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and understand meal orders, dietary instructions, and follow recipes or menus carefully.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well with residents, families, and staff members.
- Physical stamina: ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and carry items (food trays, supplies) as needed throughout shift.
- Commitment to food safety, sanitation, and respect for resident dignity.
