Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Mental Health Worker / Behavioral Health Technician to join our team of mission-driven healthcare professionals located on our Behavioral Health Unit located at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs CT.

Full time

12 Hour Day Shift

• Performs patient observations and other patient care activities.
• Observes patient behavior.
• Performs, reports, and documents vital signs, ADLs.
• Responds rapidly to emergency call lights and performs safety checks.
• Provides group and individual interventions to assist the psychiatric patient towards recovery and rehabilitation.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma/Equivalent with related experience required. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Certification: AHA CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Experience:
  
  Possesses a broad practical understanding of life experiences and the ability to relate to emotionally ill individuals.
• Prior experience in psychiatric setting a plus.
• Ability to prioritize tasks. Maintain confidentiality. Good problem-solving skills.

  -7p)
