Finance Manager – Full time – Permanent – West Cornwall
Looking for a finance role with variety built in rather than bolted on? Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to be working exclusively with two well established and highly regarded local organisations to recruit a Finance Manager for a newly created full time position. This is a rare opportunity to split your time across two distinct but equally welcoming businesses, each with its own identity, loyal teams, and a genuine appreciation for practical, hands on finance support.
The role will be broadly split on a fifty-fifty basis between the two organisations, both based in West Cornwall. Each site offers a pleasant working environment, easy access, and free parking, with the chance to build strong working relationships rather than constantly firefighting.
This is a hands-on finance role ideally suited to someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and being close to the detail. You will be trusted to manage your own time, balance priorities across both businesses, and provide consistent, reliable finance support without unnecessary bureaucracy.
Responsibilities will include:- Overseeing day to day finance activity across two small organisations
- Preparing management accounts and producing clear, usable financial information
- Managing cashflow, payroll processes, and supplier payments
- Maintaining accurate records and sensible financial controls
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial planning
- Acting as the main finance contact for operational teams and external advisers
We are keen to hear from candidates who are qualified by experience or formally qualified, with a strong all-round finance background and confidence operating independently. This role will particularly suit someone who enjoys a practical, sleeves rolled up approach and values being embedded within the day to day running of a business.
