Location: Pomfret
Job Description:
The Pomfret Board of Education seeks a dynamic and creative full-time Art Teacher to serve students in PreK through Grade 8. The successful candidate will provide engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction that fosters creativity, artistic skill development, and an appreciation for the visual arts.
Qualifications:
* Valid Connecticut Certification 042 (Art, PreK-Grade 12)
* Experience with elementary and middle school students preferred
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* Commitment to inclusive practices and collaboration
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver standards-based art instruction
* Utilize a variety of media and techniques
* Assess student progress and communicate with families
* Maintain a safe and inspiring art classroom
