Job Description:
The Instructional Aide is responsible for providing academic support to individual students or small groups of students to help them succeed. Assists the teacher in providing a well organized, smoothly functioning class environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials.
Work Schedule:
28.75 hours per week/5.75 hours per day/9:00 am to 3:15 pm
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour

Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree or higher is required.
* Valid Connecticut State Department of Education Certification in Elementary Education is preferred.
* Experience with developmentally appropriate, inquiry-based teaching and learning.
* Experience with Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) is preferred.
* Experience working with children is preferred.
* Demonstrates ethical, courteous, patient, and professional behavior in working with the administration, staff, students, and families.
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
* Strong skills and concepts in all academic areas.
