Description:
The Barkhamsted Board of Education seeks an outstanding educational leader for the position of Part-time Superintendent (.4 FTE) for a small one-school district with student population of 220 students in grades PK-6 located in a rural setting in the Town of Barkhamsted, CT. Qualified and interested candidates are invited to apply. The closing date for applications is August 15, 2025. The Board of Education encourages early submission of applications as it may begin screening and interviewing candidates as applications are received.
It is expected that the new Superintendent will be appointed in October and will begin on November 1, 2025. The compensation and benefits package are competitive with other Districts that are similarly situated. The position is based upon a flexible schedule of approximately two (2) days per week.
