Position: Temporary Project Coordinator (On-site) – Decor-Focused Residential Renovation
Location: New Canaan

Role Summary

Seeking an organized, dependable local project manager to be the primary on-site representative for a large-scale decor-only residential project. This person will act as the point of coordination for trades (painters, electricians, installers, etc.), handle site access/lock-up, receive deliveries, perform basic quality checks, and support smooth execution. You will report to the principal design team based 3 hours away, who will be on-site periodically and strategically.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide reliable on-site presence approximately 10 hours per week (schedule flexible but consistent).
  • Open/secure property for contractors, deliveries, inspections, etc.
  • Coordinate with painters, electricians, flooring, millwork, and other trade personnel.
  • Accept, inspect, and organize deliveries; report issues promptly.
  • Conduct basic quality checks against specifications and report deficiencies.
  • Communicate status updates, delays, or concerns to the design team.
  • Maintain a clean, safe site environment; ensure lock-up and security protocols are followed.
  • Track daily on-site activity and report hours, issues, and progress.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience with residential construction or renovation coordination, site supervision, or similar.
  • Knowledge of common residential trades and quality standards.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to reliably commit to agreed weekly hours and site availability.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to site independently.
  • Professional demeanor; accountability for site integrity and representation.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with subcontractor coordination and delivery logistics.
  • Basic understanding of decor installation processes (fixtures, finishes, hardware).
