The customer account manager role is one of the most critical roles in the organization as it is the primary interface between the business and our customers. Functions of the role include sales administration, new business development, quotation submittals, pricing negotiations, customer service, relationship management, demand management, sales budget forecasting, and overall financial health.

Responsibilities- Forecasting, Demand Management & Capacity Planning:
Identify changes in demand and take corrective & preventative action with the customer as appropriate. Develop processes with the customer that will provide accurate and frequent forecast models which are a key input to the capacity planning. Communicate capacity plans and actions to the customer to assure readiness as well as provide visibility to the customer on capacity opportunities. - Inventory Management:
Actively identify and pursue revenue for Terminations, Obsolescence and changes in design. - Communication:
Act as a single point of contact to the customer to build relationships and rapport by providing timely and accurate updates on critical hardware, contract negotiations, meetings or visits that are requested by the customer as well as the primary point for weekly meeting rhythms as requested by the customer. - Request for Quotes (RFQs) and Quote Submittal:
Screen incoming RFQ’s and analyze strategic value to Pursuit. Review cost estimates for re‑quotes or submit to estimating for new quotes. Prepare completed pricing estimate for review with Strategic Operations Manager and subsequent submittal to customer. - Account Maintenance:
Monitor account performance with regards to customer satisfaction, on‑time delivery, profitability, quality trends, timely and effective communication and general financial housekeeping. - Budgeting:
Responsible for developing accurate annual account budget and monitoring actual performance vs. budget. Take action to ensure there is adequate demand to meet the budget or smooth out demand where there is not a plan to be able to meet the demand 100% on time. - Project Management:
As opportunities arise, the Account Manager may be required to act as a project manager to facilitate activities between the customers and various Company personnel (Engineering, Operations, Planning, etc.) to bring a project through development and into production. - Business Development:
Actively identify and support the Company’s part/process family strategies. Solicit business opportunities that support Company strategic growth plans. Personal visits to customer as needed to build and enhance relationships with key decision makers in the technical and tactical communities.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of manufacturing experience OR in lieu of degree, at least 7 years of manufacturing experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full‑time basis.
- Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
- Account Manager experience in the Aerospace industry is strongly preferred.
- Previous leadership experience including direct reports.
- Cross functional team experience.
