Hotel Bookkeeper OverviewThe Hotel Bookkeeper is responsible for supporting the hotel’s accounting and financial functions while ensuring accuracy, organization, and compliance with company policies. This position will work closely with hotel leadership and the corporate accounting team to maintain financial records, process transactions, and assist with daily and monthly accounting tasks.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Responsibilities- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with daily accounting functions
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments
- Assist with accounts receivable tracking and posting payments
- Reconcile daily revenue reports and verify financial accuracy
- Support monthly closing processes and financial reporting
- Maintain organized accounting files and documentation
- Assist with payroll-related documentation and administrative accounting tasks
- Work closely with hotel leadership and corporate accounting to ensure financial procedures are followed
- Monitor expenses and assist with budget tracking when needed
Maintain confidentiality of financial information at all times
- Previous bookkeeping, accounting, or hotel accounting experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with the hotel leadership team
- Experience in hospitality accounting systems is a plus
- Must be able to pass a background check
