Full-Time Inventory Accounts Coordinator Position in Gales Ferry, Connecticut About the Companies

This position relates to one of Lewis Representation LLC’s larger clients, which owns and manages various popular restaurant establishments in the area, together with its newest addition, an in-development high-standard motel. The successful applicant to this position will be employed through Lewis Representation LLC as a client-specific accountant for the restaurants and motel, for which they will be responsible for a multitude of inventory-related accounting tasks.

• Minimum one year of accounting and/or experience in a hospitality (or another inventory-related) environment
• Willingness to work in and adapt to several different professional environments, as opposed to a single office
• Good communication skills
• Experienced multitasker, with an ability to triage tasks effectively according to levels of urgency
• Preferably; experience with Margin Edge, the primary accounting tool for this position
• Experience using Excel

Typically, a week’s work for the successful applicant will include:

• Monday and Tuesday:
  Taking inventory in-person at the restaurants and at the motel, which will involve travel around the Mystic area of Eastern Connecticut
• Wednesday, Thursday and Friday:
  Working in-office using Margin Edge, the primary inventory tool for the restaurants and motel
• Overseeing internal transfers between the restaurants and the motel
• Organising and categorising the shipments of products to the restaurants and motel
• Continuously updating the item and ingredient cost of each menu item at the restaurants within Margin Edge, which involves a keen and updated understanding of sources and costs of ingredients
• Liaising between client and Lewis Representation LLC staff members regarding inventory-related queries
• This is a full-time position with future of role expansion of part-time participation in the motel night auditing function.
