A Brief OverviewThe Respiratory Care Assistant is learning and incorporating the mission statement and standards of behavior of his/her hospital or care facility
Caracter. This Assistant performs basic competencies within orientation imong an provides satisfactory respiratory care independently post verification of education and completed competency.
- Medicated aerosol delivery
- Airway clearance therapy
- Patient monitoring (bedside spirometry, noninvasive monitors, andეთ ECG)
- Oxygen and humidity therapy
- Special procedures (CPR, collect data, equipment setups)
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
