Purchasing Assistant
Derek Rose is a family‑owned British clothing brand established in 1926. From our manufacturing base in Cheshire, we design and produce high‑quality sleepwear, loungewear and leisurewear that is sold internationally.

We are a stable, long‑standing business built on quality, precision and long‑term thinking. We are now looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join our Production Team at our Congleton office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone organised, detail‑focused and reliable who is looking to build a long‑term career within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

Working closely with the Production Team, you will help ensure finished goods and materials are ordered accurately and delivered on time to support our production schedules. This is a hands‑on, office‑based role requiring strong attention to detail and consistent follow‑through.

Required
  • Strong numeracy skills with exceptional accuracy
  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Confident communicator with strong relationship‑building skills
  • Dynamic team player with a proactive mindset
  • High levels of drive, energy and initiative
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
Key Responsibilities
  • Purchase finished goods from a range of suppliers, ensuring orders are placed accurately and on time
  • Proactively chase suppliers to meet critical production deadlines
  • Coordinate the distribution of fabrics and trims to multiple overseas factories
  • Monitor production levels, report, and communicate with all suppliers
  • Use of in‑house ERP system to record all production‑related data
  • Manage trim stock levels and support inventory control
  • Provide general administrative support to the Production Team
Hours of Work
  • Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm
