The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator ensures that all inbound and outbound shipments are to Three D Metals standards and appropriately managed through the Company's ERP system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prepares shipping documents, including but not limited to bills of lading, packing lists, and international customs documents
- Schedules carriers for outbound shipments
- Prints and understands shipping reports
- Ensures documents are received by required contacts
- Enters shipments into customer portals as required
- Understands proper routing for local and over the road shipments
- Assists in loading shipments as needed
- Determines and communicates the picks for the external warehouse to ensure timely delivery of material to the Concord facility
- Obtains mill and/or lab certifications per customer requirements.
- Schedule appointments for material deliveries
- Unload received materials
- Receives all metal (including rejections) into the Invex System in a timely manner.
- Files supplier test reports and certifications.
- Maintains receiving department test equipment
- Assists in packaging and storage of material as needed.

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Three to five years' experience in shipping and/or logistics
- Two or more years' experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple work instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
High reach, forklift, and crane certification preferred.
