HistoryUnited Beverages of North Carolina, LLC, was formed by the merger of four companies:
The Blue Ridge Distributing Company, Piedmont Distributors, Proctor Wholesale, and Rowan Distributing. These four successful companies merged in order to be more competitive in the alcoholic beverage industry. Currently, the company is headquartered in Hickory, NC. A branch office is located in Salisbury, NC.
The job of a Delivery Apprentice at United Beverages is to assist the delivery department by performing "delivery helper" duties. Simultaneously, the employee must obtain a Class-A, CDL within six months of being hired.
The goal for this position is for the employee to seamlessly transition into the next available open route position. The employee will receive training on multiple routes, to be made ready to take on any delivery job.
Qualifications- Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain a Class-A CDL license
- Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain ALE/ABC License & knowledge of all rules and regulations
- Must be able to handle pressure and accomplish set performance goals
- Provide quality service to assigned customers with excellent communications skills and gain distribution equal to or better than our competition.
- Able to bend, lift, carry, climb, stoop and stack product weighing up to 200 lbs (with hand truck).
- Be a self-starter and self-motivated with a positive attitude at all times
