Summer Lifeguard

The purpose of this position is to ensure the safety of the public by providing a safe and organized environment for patrons in and around the pool.

• Performs daily patrol of the pool, effectively communicates all pool rules, regulations and guidelines, identifies and communicates any safety concerns to supervisor(s), maintains proper required paperwork, and files accident reports and active saves/rescue reports as needed. Checks pool chemicals daily to ensure compliance. Provides swimming lessons in accordance of facility operations and maintains all paperwork associated with swimming lessons. Assists in admission and concessions as needed.
  
  Maintains cleanliness of facility by providing proper maintenance to pool grounds.

• Performs other similar duties as required.

• Knowledge of Aquatic life saving techniques;
  Cash-handling. Skills in Identifying and accessing of problematic situations, Moderate communication skills;
  Basic math;
  Basic computer skills.

• American Red Cross Lifeguard Training or equivalent; CPR and First Aid Certified.

• tom position requires: climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Light Work:
  Exerting up to _corner 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
