What Drives Success

This technician role supports the installation, maintenance, and servicing of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems for commercial customers.

Duties Include
  • Assist with on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair and calibration after installation
  • Use technical abilities to maintain systems
  • Work in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Work in a safe manner and ensure safety measures are taken at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends
What We Are Looking For
  • High School diploma or GED
  • HVAC trade school graduate preferred, achieving 3.5 GPA and excellent attendance
  • 1+ years in mechanical support role; some hands-on HVAC experience preferred
  • EPA Certification - Type I & Type II or Universal preferred
  • NATE certification a plus
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Moderate lifting (up to 90 pounds)
  • Technical aptitude to perform maintenance, service, and troubleshooting
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
  • Ability to complete repairs and required paperwork
  • Ability to work independently and self-schedule
  • Self-motivated to complete assigned tasks within time constraints
  • Driven to succeed and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Availability for weekend and night work occasionally
  • Willingness to relocate to another part of the country after training
  • Local travel may be required
Physical Requirements
  • Technicians install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on commercial rooftop HVAC units
  • Safely get themselves and necessary tools/equipment onto the rooftop (ladder)
  • Work at heights
  • Load and unload tools/equipment from a vehicle
  • Lift up to 75 lbs; shoulder and overhead lifting up to 25 lbs
  • Push/pull wheeled carts up to 150 lbs
  • Climb ladders to roof height
  • Extend reach overhead in repetitive motion
  • Manual tandem lifting up to 125 lbs
What We Offer

Compensation
:
This is an hourly non-exempt role. The salary range for this role and market is $33,000 – $41,000 annually. Salary may vary based on geography/market, tenure, performance, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.

Employees are not eligible for a bonus but may earn overtime when working more than 40 hours per week, as required by state law.
