American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a day shift travel contract at a Level 3 Trauma, 457-bed hospital in Concord, NC, requiring a minimum of 5 years of OR experience and proficiency across multiple surgical specialties.

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting with 19 OR suites (17 blocked rooms) averaging approximately 50 cases per day
• Surgical specialties include trauma, ortho trauma, ortho total joints, spine, cardiac, MI vascular, GYN, GYN-Oncology, robotics (3 robots), general surgery, HPB, bariatrics, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, pain, and plastics
• Facility is designated as a Bariatric Center of Excellence and holds Advanced Spine Surgery Certification
• Level 3 Trauma Center
• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 36 hours per week
• Weekend rotation every 4th weekend; coverage may be a scheduled shift (7a–7p) or call (7a–7p or 7p–7a) based on unit need
• On-call required, averaging 6 call shifts per 6-week scheduling cycle; response time within 45 minutes
• Call hours: 11p–7a on weekdays and 7a–7p or 7p–7a on weekends
• Schedule is set on a 6-week cycle
• No floating required
• EMR:
  Epic (experience preferred)

• Active RN license in NC or a compact state currently in hand
• BLS certification required
• CNOR preferred but not required
• Minimum 5 years of OR RN experience required
• Recent experience (within the last year) in an OR specialty setting required
• Proficiency in circulating for a broad range of surgical specialties including trauma, ortho, spine, cardiac, vascular, robotics, bariatrics, and more
• Epic EMR experience
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

• Circulate across a high-volume OR handling approximately 50 cases per day across diverse surgical service lines
• Department support includes Service Line Clinical Supervisors, Charge Nurses, Educators, OR Assistants, Unit Secretaries, and Tech Engineers
• Orientation includes facility-level NEO plus 2 days of departmental orientation
• Travelers are expected to work 75% of assigned holidays
• Time off requests require manager approval
• Scrubs are provided by the facility; parking is free
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Candidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Candidates who have worked a permanent position at an Advocate Health Southeast (AHSE) facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
