An experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in operating room procedures is sought for a contract position in Concord, NC. This opportunity is situated in a highly respected medical center recognized for its trauma, stroke, bariatric, and chest pain centers of excellence. Key Responsibilities:

• Circulate in diverse surgical cases including trauma, orthopedic trauma and total joints, spine, cardiac, vascular, gynecologic, robotic, general surgery, hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB), bariatrics, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, and plastics.
• Provide night shift support with experience in charge nurse duties and scrubbing proficiency.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including clinical supervisors, charge nurses, educators, and technical staff.
• Adapt to flexible case requests during night shifts and maintain a professional, patient-focused approach.
• Participate in orientation, ongoing education, and adhere to call schedules requiring timely response.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years nursing experience, with substantial operating room exposure.
• North Carolina Registered Nurse license and current BLS certification.
• CNOR certification preferred but not required.
• Proven charge nurse experience for night shifts.
• Familiarity with laparoscopic, open abdominal, cystoscopic, vascular, and robotic procedures is advantageous.

Schedule & Shift Details:

• Night shifts with weekend rotation every fourth weekend.
• Call shifts averaging six per six-week schedule with a 45-minute response requirement.
• Approximately 75% holiday coverage expectation.
• Weekend coverage may be scheduled or call-based, with shifts typically from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
