Description:

This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Med Surg/Tele unit.
The environment consists of a positive and supportive culture.
The facility has 457 licensed beds and is a Trauma Level III Teaching Hospital.
It serves as a Chest Pain Center and a Stroke Center of Excellence.
The unit comprises 28 beds, with patient ratios typically at 1:4-6.
During surge times, the ratio may increase to 1:7-8.
Common diagnoses include orthopedic surgery, spine surgery, trauma, vascular surgery, and medical overflow.
Support within the department includes CNAs to assist with ADLs, phlebotomy, and IV site management.
Charge nurses and remote telemetry monitoring are available for ongoing support.
A behavioral response team is deployed for assistance in de-escalation measures.
Emergency resources include rapid response and code teams.
Technology utilized includes EPIC for electronic medical records and various monitoring systems.
Travelers may be required to float between facilities within the designated region as necessary.
Weekend rotation is required, with every other weekend scheduled.
Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays.
Requests for time off are permitted, with conditions applied.
The position requires adherence to unit policies and guidelines.
