- Medication gtt management to include cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, IVF

Description:

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg/Tele specialty.
The facility has 457 licensed beds and is a Trauma Level III teaching hospital.
It serves as a Chest Pain Center and a Stroke Center of Excellence.
The average daily census in the unit is 21 patients with a total of 23 beds.
There will be a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5.
A certified nursing assistant will be available with a ratio of 1:7 days and 1:10 nights.
Patient types and common diagnoses include chest pain, rule out stroke, syncope, dizziness, and respiratory illness.
Support within the department includes supervisors, charge RNs, and a resource team that is available 24/7.
There is also a hospitalist and phlebotomy services available.
The technology and equipment used includes an electronic medical record system, IV pumps, and medication dispensing systems.
Flexibility may be required to float within the region and scope of practice.
Schedule includes weekend rotation every other week and holiday expectations where travelers will work 75% of holidays.
Up to six days off may be approved excluding holidays, but time must be added to the end of the contract if the contracted hours cannot be met.
