Management of vasoactive medications, various surgical drains, chest tubes, ventilators, and CRRT.

Description:

We are seeking a skilled RN for our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.
The unit has 14 private rooms, including two negative pressure rooms.
Patient types include STEMI (unstable), cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, and those recovering from thoracic surgery.
Patient ratios are assigned at 1:2 for RNs.
The role requires proficiency in managing invasive lines, including arterial lines and PA catheters.

Experience with devices such as IABP and Impella is strongly preferred.
Support within the department includes a charge nurse who may or may not have patient assignments.
The department has a dedicated IV/VAT team and intensivist available 24/7.
The technology utilized includes an electronic medical record system and various monitoring equipment.
Traveling may be required within the region and scope of practice.
Travelers will be compensated for time spent traveling between facilities if needed.
Scheduling includes a weekend rotation of every other weekend, with holiday expectations at 75%.
Requests for time-off can be up to 6 days, excluding holidays, with options to extend the contract if contracted hours cannot be met.
Scrub color required is navy.
Candidates must possess skills in critical care nursing.
