• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm start)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1570 - $1680
• Unit: Post Surgical Care (28 beds)
• Patient Ratios: RN 1:4-6
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Parking: Free in designated areas

• Active and unencumbered RN license (North Carolina or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification (Resource Team Requirement)
• Proficient in post-surgical nursing skills: incision care, patient assessment, drains, chest tubes, wound care/wound vacs, mobility, patient education, trach care, NG tube insertion, use of braces/traction
• Willingness to float within the Central Division region (Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman)
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (radius rule for travel nursing jobs)

• Provide high-quality nursing care to post-surgical and medical overflow patients
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Manage drains, chest tubes, wound vacs, and other post-surgical interventions
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery processes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including CNAs, charge nurses, IV/VAT teams, respiratory therapists, and hospitalists
• Utilize EPIC EMR, BD Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips/Massimo monitors
• Participate in floating assignments as needed within the designated North Carolina healthcare region
• Foster a positive and supportive unit culture
