Overview

Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa Concord located at 8915 Christenbury Pkwy, Concord, NC 28027 is seeking a dynamic Spa Leader as a General Manager in Training (GMIT). The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of leadership experience, is a self-starter, and excels in driving sales while fostering a positive team environment. This role begins with a strong focus on front desk operations, client experience, and sales performance and is designed to prepare you for future management opportunities with a clear pathway to leading your own location.

Compensation: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour. GMITs earn an average annual compensation up to $45,000, depending on performance.

Responsibilities
  • Successfully achieve all performance-based goals set by spa leadership and the company on a consistent basis, including membership conversion, booking efficiency, call conversion, and gift card sales
  • Lead the front desk team to exceed sales and performance goals
  • Provide an exceptional guest experience as measured by Service Level Standard scores
  • Oversee and manage daily front desk operations
  • Assist General Manager in managing daily operations of the business
  • Train, monitor, and coach teams, including in-the-moment coaching
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training all front desk hires
  • Maintain knowledge of the service menu and educate clients on services and enhancements
  • Promote sales, promotions, and events
  • Uphold spa cleanliness standards
  • Perform administrative functions in conjunction with the General Manager (sales reporting, register operations, cash handling, etc.)
Role Requirements
  • Passion for people and providing excellent service
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and some holidays
  • Ability to travel for training, conferences, or other business activities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fast learner with a positive attitude
  • Computer proficiency including MS Office and Google Docs/Sheets; knowledge of Zenoti or similar appointment systems is a plus
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking
  • Critical thinking skills, including customer conflict resolution
