Overview

Primary

Job Role:

Conducts all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to applicable safety, environmental and contamination control policies, procedures and regulations. Wears proper personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Attends and successfully completes required technician training classes.
  • Maintains necessary set of tools required for job performance to diagnose, disassemble and assemble components to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Diagnose and perform designated repairs on customer or company owned equipment including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs.
  • Work in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways of improving the methods of work, work area, and safety standards.
  • Inspect components to ensure maximum parts are being reused to control repair costs. Complete required documentation utilizing appropriate software to document repairs performed on equipment, and accounting for repair times.
  • Monitor job expenses versus repair estimates and ensure the supervisor is aware of any cost overrun prior to job completion.
  • Approach work in a positive manner, maintain conduct that supports the work team and set the standard for others to follow. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations. Train and/or mentor others in the department.

Education and Experience
  • Formal

    Education:

    High School diploma or GED
  • Experience:

    3-4 years
Required / Credentials
  • Able to comprehend written material and communicate effectively with employees and customers (oral and written).
  • Valid Driver License
  • Successfully completed all required training curriculum to be designated Service Field Tech II
Not Required but Highly Desired Criteria
  • Proficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and relevant Dealer software programs.
  • Updating of Knowledge:
    Job requirements frequently change requiring retraining once or more per year.
