I am partnering with a highly regarded law firm to appoint an eDiscovery Project Manager to lead complex eDiscovery matters across the full EDRM lifecycle. This individual will act as the technical and strategic lead on litigation matters requiring sophisticated discovery insight. The role blends hands‑on expertise with consultative advisory support, working closely with attorneys, professional staff and external service providers to deliver defensible, efficient and cost-effective discovery solutions.
This role provides real work‑life balance, no weekend work, no 1 am productions - you will average 35-40 hours a week.
This is a hybrid position initially, with in‑office presence required during probation, that will move to a more seamless remote thereafter.
Key Responsibilities of this eDiscovery Project Manager:- Serve as the primary discovery contact for case teams, managing multiple matters simultaneously and providing end-to-end project coordination.
- Assess new matters and develop defensible methodologies for data preservation, collection, processing, review and production.
- Provide cost estimates and coordinate third‑party scopes of work to ensure commercially sound and efficient decisions.
- Support all phases of the EDRM lifecycle, including client scoping calls, overseeing collections, managing review platform workflows and supervising productions.
- Ensure productions comply with ESI protocols and court orders, maintaining accuracy, proper red actions, endorsements and secure data transfer.
- Build and manage relationships with external service providers to complement in‑house capabilities.
- Proactively identify risks, resolve matter‑issues and provide consistent status reporting to stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of eDiscovery best practices, documentation and case management guidelines.
- Maintain and develop QC checklists, production logs and defensible workflow documentation.
- Train attorneys and professional staff on litigation technologies and emerging tools.
- Minimum three years’ experience independently managing eDiscovery or litigation support projects within a law firm or similar legal environment.
- Experience administering Relativity Server is required. Relativity One experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of the EDRM lifecycle, document preservation, collections, processing and production protocols.
- Trial support experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of collection methodologies, ESI, document review workflows and litigation‑focused technology platforms.
- Confident communicator, comfortable advising attorneys and professional staff while translating technical concepts into clear, practical guidance.
- Highly organised, detail‑oriented and capable of prioritising under pressure.
- Strong relationship builder with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset with the ability to think strategically and operate independently.
