Business Intelligence Analyst
Reporting To: BI Manager
We are looking for a detail‑oriented and proactive Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Finance team. This role will support the BI Manager in delivering high‑quality data analytics, reporting, and automation solutions that drive financial performance and financial decision‑making. The BI Analyst will work closely with finance stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities Data Analysis & Reporting- Assist in designing, building, and maintaining dashboards and reports to track key financial metrics (e.g. budget vs actuals, cash flow, ROI, KPIs).
- Perform data validation and ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity across BI platforms.
- Create reporting to support variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting to support financial planning and decision‑making.
- Prepare ad‑hoc reports and respond to data requests from finance stakeholders.
- Support data collection, integration, and quality assurance processes to maintain reliable datasets.
- Help enforce data governance policies and ensure compliance with organizational standards. Monitor finance data quality and assist in implementing corrective actions when discrepancies arise.
- Collaborate with the BI Manager to gather user requirements for finance dashboards and reports.
- Participate in user acceptance testing and deployment of BI solutions.
- Track dashboard usage and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in implementing automation solutions to streamline financial processes.
- Support predictive modeling and scenario analysis under the guidance of the BI Manager.
- Contribute to AI and machine learning initiatives aimed at enhancing financial insights.
- Provide basic training and support to finance team members on self‑service analytics tools.
- Help promote a data‑driven culture by sharing best practices and encouraging dashboard adoption.
- 2‑3 years of expertise in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik View) and data visualization.
- Demonstratable experience in building and maintaining reporting frameworks.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis tools, including Excel, SQL, and data warehousing platforms.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, IFS) is desirable.
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret and communicate data insights clearly to stakeholders.
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn new technologies.
