Overview
Atrium Health Cabarrus - Mobile Mammography is a full-time department position located in Concord, NC. This facility has recognized awards and focuses on breast imaging services. The role is part of the Cabarrus Breast Center team and contributes to early detection and compassionate care. This position offers benefits eligibility, a 40-hour work week, and a pay range of $33.05 - $49.60 per hour.
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Performs basic and intermediate screening and diagnostic mammography examinations under the direction of the Radiologist.
- Verifies patient and validates proof of identity.
- Reviews patient mammography medical history and correlates prior mammograms to ensure the correct examination is performed.
- Performs digital imaging acquisition and recognizes factors that affect image acquisition, display, archiving, and retrieval.
- Evaluates technical quality of images and consults with a radiologist when needed.
- Assists radiologist during invasive procedures and practices proper sterile technique in assembling necessary supplies.
- Reports malfunctioning equipment to the department supervisor and performs troubleshooting and minor repair procedures under the direction of clinical engineering.
- Maintains patient records, including completing orders correctly, charging exams and supplies, and verifying that the correct exam was sent to PACS.

Education RequiredGraduate of an accredited ARRT-approved program in Radiologic Technology. The R.T. must have met the federal mammography training requirements per the Mammography Quality Standards Act of 1992 (MQSA). ARRT and advanced certification in Mammography are required. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) from AHA required.
Experience/Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesPhysical requirements and working conditions include moderate to heavy physical effort in lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies. Must be able to push, pull, and lift weights up to 600 pounds with assistance. Requires frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting. Ability to stretch, bend, twist, squat, and kneel in daily operations. Exposure to hard surfaces and stairs. Able to adapt to changes in temperature and humidity.
Must follow radiation safety guidelines to prevent exposure to ionizing radiation.
