Job Summary:

GM Performance Power Units is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Regulations Manager to lead all reporting and compliance activities related to the FIA Financial Regulations and Cost Cap. This pivotal role supports both regulatory adherence and strategic optimization of financial controls, partnering closely with finance, FP&A, and business teams to enable competitive performance within compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and compliant submissions to the FIA as required by Financial Regulations
  • Coordinate responses, clarification requests, and agenda proposals for the CFO’s presentations at the FIA Financial Advisory Committee and other FIA requests
  • Lead external audits for Cost Cap Agreed Upon Procedures and FIA audits, ensuring timely and thorough completion
  • Create and maintain monthly Cost Cap actuals reporting to support financial analysis and decision-making
  • Manage Cost Cap-specific adjustments and postings within the finance system during monthly close
  • Collaborate with FP&A to maintain monthly year-to-go Cost Cap forecasts and multi-year budgets
  • Maintain detailed documentation of Financial Regulations interpretations and fair value assessments
  • Stay current on changes in Financial, Technical, Sporting Regulations, and relevant accounting standards impacting the Cost Cap
  • Support initiatives to optimize Power Unit (PU) performance while maintaining Cost Cap compliance
  • Develop and deliver Financial Regulations training and education programs across the organization
  • Prepare presentation materials for senior management and other reporting forums
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA or professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred
  • Experience working in a regulatory environment; motor sport or sporting regulatory experience highly desirable
  • Proven experience managing both internal and external financial audits
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and financial management software such as IFS, Microsoft D365, SAP, or Oracle
  • Strong analytical skills with experience handling large datasets
  • Solid project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
