Overview
Eurofins Environment Testing Northeast, LLC is seeking an Analyst II to join the Wet Chemistry team in Concord, New Hampshire. Must live a commutable distance to the lab.
Responsibilities- Performs laboratory procedures requiring knowledge of scientific methods and testing procedures, including batching and prepping samples, making reagents, aliquoting extracted samples, and preparing appropriate standards to ensure compliant data.
- Determines appropriate routine and complex analysis methods for a wide variety of organic and inorganic samples.
- Operates, calibrates, and maintains laboratory instruments.
- Uploads data into the LIMS and reviews data for accuracy (Level I review).
- Maintains logbooks and monitors refrigerator temperatures.
- Ensures compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing America environmental health, safety, and quality assurance standards.
- Maintains housekeeping standards and inventories laboratory supplies.
- Secondary duties: orders supplies, washes and inventories glassware, writes nonconformity notes for quality issues, purges analyzed samples, and assists in training and supporting other areas of the laboratory.
- Reading, writing, and speaking skills; problem solving; teamwork and meeting management; time management and organization.
- Ability to work independently following written or verbal instructions; cooperate and communicate effectively.
- Follow and learn appropriate Wet Chemistry protocols, including high- and low-resolution preparation and analysis.
- Education: BS or BA in chemistry or related field, OR 3 years of laboratory experience substituting for a degree.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in routine and complex laboratory procedures and instruments, preferably in a production environment. Prior production-oriented work is helpful. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; samples may be in coolers packed in ice.
- Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
