What will you do?
We are seeking a Production Engineer to support the transfer of production product lines into manufacturing. The role focuses on ensuring smooth line setup, equipment readiness, process validation, and production ramp-up while meeting safety, quality, and productivity requirements. The Production Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, update documentation, and stabilize processes during and after transfer.
- Support end-to-end production line transfer and start-up
- Equipment and process validation
- Work instruction and process documentation updates
- Troubleshooting during ramp-up and mass production
- Collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and maintenance teams
- Develop and deliver training to production teams
- As the production lines are located in Peterborough
, the Production Engineer is required to spend at least two days per week on-site to gain hands‑on understanding of the products and manufacturing processes, and to transfer this knowledge to the Siemens Concord facility
.
What will you need to succeed?
- New graduate from a university program in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- Graduated from post‑secondary school within the last 12 months.
- Above average study performance (Accumulative average > 2.5 (B-)). Transcripts to be provided upon request.
- Co‑op or internship experience in a manufacturing or production environment is considered an asset.
- Ability to support end‑to‑end production line transfer and start‑up activities.
- Basic understanding of equipment and process validation.
- Ability to update work instructions, process documents, and standard operating procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to support issues during ramp‑up and mass production.
- Ability to work collaboratively with manufacturing, quality, and maintenance teams.
- Strong communication skills to develop and deliver training to production teams.
- Demonstrated leadership or initiative at school, work and/or community (extra curricular activities)
