Position: MS Access & SQL Server App Developer (Hybrid – 4 days/week onsite) Key Responsibilities

  • Support, upgrade, and migrate critical agency applications developed in MS Access and MS SQL Server.
  • Rewrite Access ADP applications to Access ACCDB format and migrate to different servers.
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot VBA scripts and ASP.net applications.
  • Collaborate effectively with IT peers and agency staff of varying technical backgrounds.
  • Provide end-user application support and training.
  • Participate in database migrations and SSIS job creation/updating.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and ethical conduct.
  • Contribute to Agile development processes and user acceptance testing.
  • Elicit business and functional requirements as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong expertise in MS Access (including ADP), MS SQL Server (development & administration), and SSIS.
  • Experience with Access ADP, SQL SSIS jobs, and complex VBA scripting.
  • Proficiency in ASP.net development.
  • Hands-on experience with database migrations for on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Previous experience supporting MS Access, ACCDB, and SQL Server-based applications.
  • Knowledge of test processes, especially user acceptance testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • (Nice to have):
    Experience with Salesforce, Git Hub, Jira, SharePoint, Power BI, Power Apps.
Other Requirements
  • Local candidates only; must work onsite 4 days/week.
  • Must attend in-person interviews as required by the client.
  • 37.5-hour work week.
  • Must provide valid and detailed education/certification information.
  • Three professional references (including one from a similar role) required upon submission.
  • May be comfortable working in an environment that supports hunting, fishing, trapping, wildlife management, and may include taxidermy and animal pelts in the office.
