The Rehabilitation Services Outpatient (OP) assists in the routine functioning of the rehabilitation department by assisting the therapist with basic patient treatments, communicating with outside departments, performing housekeeping and support functions, managing supply inventory and ordering using established computer systems, and completing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Starting Pay: $16.83
Education: High school or equivalent (GED).
Certification, Registration & Licensure: None required.
Experience: Demonstrates ability to effectively and positively interact with a multidisciplinary staff, patients, and others; performs as a member of a team, and possesses knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan highly desired. Must have basic computer skills and demonstrate ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Maintains clinic and work area in a clean, tidy and organized manner.
- Ensures clinical equipment is available for patient care and actively manages equipment needing repair.
- Inventories and orders supplies in clinical and support areas.
- Assists therapist with patient care when requested.
- Identifies and implements effective time management strategies.
- Takes responsibility for individual performance behaviors and goals.
- Completes hospital and department requirements.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, depth perception, far vision, near vision, and peripheral vision.
The employee is occasionally exposed to airborne contaminants, airborne pathogens, blood borne pathogens, bodily fluids, confined spaces, electrical hazards—shock, moving mechanical parts, non-weather related heat or cold, slippery surfaces, and variable weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
