Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Position Summary

Concord Orthopaedics (COPA), a division of Northeast Orthopaedic Alliance (NOA), is seeking a Financial Navigator to support patients by reviewing insurance benefits, estimating out-of-pocket costs, and coordinating payment arrangements prior to services being rendered. This role helps ensure patients understand their financial responsibility so they can focus on their medical care. The Financial Navigator also follows up on outstanding balances and provides guidance on available financial assistance options.

Key Responsibilities
  • Confirm patient out-of-pocket responsibility, including copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles, prior to scheduled services
  • Prepare and communicate estimated balances due using phone, email, text, kiosks, and other approved methods
  • Utilize pre-established estimates when deductibles apply to office visit services
  • Perform estimates for both professional (COPA) and facility (OSC) services, including facility out-of-pocket responsibilities
  • Ensure acceptable financial arrangements are in place prior to services being rendered, in accordance with established procedures
  • Assist patients with setting up recurring payment plans as needed
  • Evaluate requests for additional financial assistance and provide recommendations to leadership when appropriate
  • Follow up on outstanding patient balances
  • Provide Financial Assistance Applications to patients as needed
  • Assist patients in meeting financial obligations while adhering to practice payment policies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous medical office experience preferred, including health insurance benefit verification
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Ability to analyze information and perform basic math calculations
  • Excellent communication, telephone, and computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment
