Primary

Job Responsibilities
  • Remain awake during the entire shift and support individuals as needed.
  • Complete overnight checklists and reports according to each individual’s service and behavior plans.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and positive living environment, including laundry and cleaning tasks.
  • Assist in developing and implementing each individual’s ISP/IEP and daily activity schedule.
  • Implement positive behavior supports and individual behavior support plans.
  • Supervise all individuals under care.
  • Administer and record medications in compliance with MAP.
  • Provide direct supervision and care, including 1:1 responsibilities.
  • Participate in meetings related to individuals or program planning.
  • Engage in de-escalation techniques as needed.
Essential Job Functions
  • Maintain regular attendance, including weekends, holidays, and inclement weather.
  • Demonstrate mature judgment, good interpersonal skills, and a willingness to learn.
  • Work effectively in stressful situations and de-escalate individuals with complex needs.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Pass Guild Driving test for transportation duties.
  • Implement crisis intervention techniques, including CPI certification.
  • Assist in evacuation procedures when necessary.
Requirements

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree preferred; relevant experience considered.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Meet Massachusetts CORI background check requirements.
  • MAP certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
