* Job Description:

** The Hospitalist Assistant is responsible for providing the department with administrative and physician support services, and performing a variety of clinical and patient-related duties necessary to ensure a smoothly functioning unit. The Hospitalist Assistant works in partnership and collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary clinical care team members, toward providing quality patient care and enhanced communications.

* Education:

*** Completion of Medical Assistant Program - Accredited Required

- Equivalent Experience or Completion of relevant program considered

* Experience:

*** 1 year Clerical - Healthcare Environment Required
** Certifications/Licenses:
*** BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association Required

* Skills:

*** Knowledge of medical terminology through experience or completion of a course.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point).
* Proficient in EMR or other computer skills. Experience in Epic preferred.
* Ability to work independently, as well as, in a team-based environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary health care professionals.
* Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment and perform effectively with rapidly changing priorities.
* Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and an excellent phone etiquette.
* Demonstrates organization skills with customer and patient focused while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times.##

** Pay Range:**$31.60 - $42.67### ### Hourly### Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.

Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.
