What you’ll do

As a Physical Therapist, you help patients get well. You assess patient needs, develop recovery plans, and deliver physical therapy to restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities. You address the whole patient and work to design a program that supports independence and productivity. You adapt to each patient’s needs and collaborate with peers and referrals to ensure the patient gets the care they need.

You are a teacher who can train patients and caregivers on skills to promote independence and productivity.

Qualifications

They must have a valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility.

They must have a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy; or

They must have a Master’s degree in a Physical Therapy related field in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy; or

They must have a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience.

The qualifying Physical Therapy degree earned outside of the U.S. must be evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent to a degree in Physical Therapy.
