Join Johnson & Johnson Med Tech as a Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) to support patient access to J&J Immunology therapies across multiple New Hampshire territories.
Job DescriptionThe FRM is a field-based lead for education, assistance, and issue resolution with healthcare providers (HCPs) and their staff concerning patient access to J&J Immunology therapies. The role involves on-site engagement (~50% of time), assessing education needs, and facilitating collaboration with stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities- Educate HCPs on product coverage, prior authorizations and appeals, reimbursement processes, claims submissions, procedures, and coding requirements for core and launch products.
- Collaborate with field support team members and serve as reimbursement expert for the local team.
- Act with urgency to address critical access and affordability issues for patients.
- Partner with managed care colleagues to understand current policies and anticipate future changes.
- Conduct field-based reimbursement and access support, education, and creative problem‑solving aligned to FRM Rules of Engagement.
- Build trust‑based relationships with customers in all assigned Immunology accounts.
- Manage territory logistics, routing, and account business planning.
- Maintain and grow knowledge of market dynamics including coverage and coding requirements.
- Grow understanding of hub and specialty distribution channels to improve practice and patient support needs.
- Collaborate with internal J&J departments and serve as subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions across multiple payer types.
- Execute business in accordance with ethical, legal, and compliance standards, including completion of required training.
- Extensive knowledge of medication access channels, including pharmacy and medical benefits, buy & bill, and assignment of benefit (AOB) across multiple sites of care.
- Remain current on and anticipate changes in product coverage, access knowledge, marketplace conditions, and stakeholder practices.
- Understand and adapt to the evolving healthcare ecosystem to customize resourcing and messaging to HCPs and staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, or public administration (MBA or MPH preferred).
- Minimum five years of relevant professional experience.
- Account management and/or reimbursement experience in hospital or provider office settings.
- Expertise with pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefits, coding, and billing.
- Reimbursement or managed care experience (revenue cycle, prior authorization, coding, appeals).
- Ability to establish relationships, collaborate, and influence across a matrix organization.
- Problem‑solving ability to navigate challenging access scenarios and identify timely solutions.
- Experience with patient support HUB services.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Consistent up to 50% travel.
- Permanent residence in the listed territory.
- Immunology disease‑state experience.
- Advanced degree or certifications in prior authorization or billing and coding.
- Strong market‑access acumen related to payer approval processes.
- Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives affecting reimbursement.
- Expertise in payer policy and reimbursement (coding, coverage, payment).
- Competence with CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
