As part of Ascentria Care Alliance’s finance team, the Staff Accountant performs a comprehensive and broad range of accounting duties including the month end general ledger closing process, annual audit, detailed analysis and reconciliations, preparation of various financial statements, reports, and journal transactions.
Annual Salary: $57,000

EssentialResponsibilities
- Perform detailed analysis of financial statements for accuracy, interpret trends and identify and recommend corrective action.
- Work with both accounts payable and accounts receivable to complete timely month end close, including the initiation and processing of journal entries and the reconciliation of assigned general ledger accounts.
- Produce accurate, timely and relevant financial statements.
- Develop and interpret financial reports for financial analysis, forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
- Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required.
- 1-3 years’ experience preferred, entry level candidate considered
- 3 years of nonprofit general ledger accounting experience preferred.
- Knowledge of US GAAP required.
- Experience reconciling balance sheet accounts.
- Experience with contracts and grants.
- Experience with budgeting preferred.
