Front Desk Associate – Planet Fitness About the Front Desk Associate Role

As a Front Desk Associate, you will provide a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests while ensuring an exceptional “Judgement Free” member experience.

• Greet members/guests as they enter and exit the club; assist with any questions or concerns as they check in.
• Help promote our Judgement Free Zone by connecting with members on the club floor, offering assistance and showing support in their fitness journeys while upholding club policies.
• Resolve member concerns and, if necessary, escalate to a Manager.
• Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with their inquiries.
• Perform membership related functions such as sign‑ups, contact/billing information updates, cancellations, collecting unpaid balances, and transferring memberships.
• Conduct prospective member calls and tours; assess their membership needs.
• Execute retail transactions with accuracy and drive sales goals.
• Maintain a clean environment by regularly cleaning and sanitizing all exercise equipment, the Black Card spa amenities, and communal spaces.
• Ensure restrooms are clean, sanitized, stocked, and clutter‑free by following the routine cleaning schedule.
• Perform comprehensive walking inspections of all club areas; promptly cite any safety or policy issues and clean up as needed.
• Tackle maintenance and facility concerns such as broken or missing equipment (e.g., dispensers, leaky faucets, fixtures).

• 6–12 months of experience in a customer service environment is preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Willing to become CPR/AED Certified (training provided by Planet Fitness).
• Basic computer proficiency.

• Continual standing and movement throughout the club during the shift.
• Continual in‑person or phone communication to exchange information.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Exposure to toxic chemicals during the shift.
• Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
• Requires bending, twisting, and other movements to accomplish tasks.
