CIVIL ENGINEERING INTERN - SUMMER 2026
DEPARTMENT:
Engineering Services Division, City of Concord Community Development
TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT:
Up to thirteen (13) weeks - May through August 2026
STARTING HOURLY RANGE: $18.50-$20.55 Depending on work experience/education with paid holidays.

JOB SUMMARY:
Performs responsible technical duties within the City of Concord, Engineering Services Division and the General Services Department, under the general supervision of the City Engineer. Examples of DutiesDuties are varied and include, but not limited to, the following:
- Roadway pavement condition survey citywide
- Construction inspection of utility projects in City right-of-way
- Update GIS databases
- Drafting engineering design plans or records in AutoCAD
- Field data collection using a Trimble GPS unit
- Enrolled in a college level Civil Engineering, Planning, Geography or related field.
- Must have successfully completed one year of post secondary education.
- Knowledge of planning/survey/civil engineering/GIS principles and methods preferred.
- Must have a valid driver license and good driving records.
