St. Paul’s School in Concord, New Hampshire, is a completely residential, co-educational secondary school affiliated with the Episcopal Church and welcoming to people of all faiths. St. Paul’s School seeks an ordained Episcopal priest to join our team of chaplains, beginning in August 2026. The associate chaplain’s primary responsibilities will include sharing in the ministry of the chaplaincy and teaching religious studies courses in the Humanities department. Reporting to the Dean of Chapel and Spiritual Life, the chaplain will work collaboratively to develop and support morning chapel services, noonday Wednesday services, Sunday Community Eucharist, and other services to include Holy Week and Easter.
Additional responsibilities also include pastoral counseling; advising spiritual life groups; teaching confirmation classes; and supporting social justice initiatives.
As a member of the faculty as well as the chaplaincy, the successful candidate will also participate in a variety of activities typical to the boarding school environment, including advising, dormitory association, coaching, committee work, and other duties. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment working with the broader faculty in advancing the mission of the School and the commitment to teaching and learning in a holistic educational environment.
Preference will be given to candidates who have an understanding of boarding school life. As with all positions, St. Paul’s Schools seeks educators who will embrace the fully residential living experience and have a demonstrated gift for engaging a diverse student body and strengthening the St. Paul’s School inclusive community.

Master’s Degree or M. Divinity (or advanced degree preferred) - Ordination:
Ordination as a priest in the Episcopal church required, at least three years of experience in ministry is preferred.
