We are seeking a Senior Scientist to join Biologics Design and Display team in the Boston Discovery Biologics group. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the team responsible for developing and executing in vitro display campaigns to generate novel therapeutic hits and optimized leads. They will directly contribute to the discovery of novel biologics as well as platform build and technology optimization efforts.

They will stay current with scientific progress and drive continuous innovation of display technologies to consistently deliver high-quality early biologics to support drug discovery across multiple therapeutic areas. As part of project teams, they will collaborate across groups to solve complex problems in disease biology and drug discovery. They will attend scientific conferences, contribute to publications, train and mentor junior staff and interns, and help to set the group strategy.

• Design and execute in vitro display campaigns for hit discovery and lead optimization to support the discovery and development of therapeutic candidates
• Leverage knowledge of NGS technology and computational sequence analysis tools to generate and evaluate multi-dimensional data from display campaigns in support of discovery and lead optimization workflows
• Stay abreast with external scientific and technological advancements and continuously drive innovation of display platform capabilities
• Collaborate across multiple functional areas to advance therapeutic candidates
• Effectively communicate experimental results in project and team meetings
• Promote external reputation of our Company’s Discovery Biologics

• PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, Protein Sciences, Pharmaceutics, or a related life sciences STEM discipline with 0-3 years, MS with >3 years, or BS with >5 years of industry experience
• Experience in antibody discovery and optimization using in vitro display technologies
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Deep hands‑on expertise in at least one molecular display technology (phage, yeast, or mammalian)
• Familiarity with lead optimization strategies and display library design methodologies
• Hands‑of experience with NGS technology including NGS data generation and analysis
• Strong technical knowledge of molecular biology
• Effectively communicate experimental results in project and team meetings

• Hands on experience in both yeast and phage display
• Experience in using laboratory automation platforms for high‑throughput workflows
• Automation

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office‑based positions in the U.S. will be working a hybrid model consisting of three total days on‑site per week (Monday–Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote‑working day), unless business critical tasks require an on‑site presence.
