Shape the future of pediatric care at Emerson Hospital.
We're looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking Pediatric Nurse Educator who is passionate about developing clinicians, elevating practice, and creating an exceptional care experience for pediatric patients and their families.
In this role, you'll partner closely with the Nursing Director of Professional Development to design education that inspires confidence, strengthens clinical excellence, and supports staff at every level. You'll lead meaningful training initiatives, build engaging competency programs, and help teams navigate change through innovative learning strategies.
If you love mentoring others, bringing new ideas to life, and making a direct impact on the quality of care children receive, this is an incredible opportunity to grow your career while shaping a culture of learning.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a trusted resource, mentor, and change agent for clinical staff caring for pediatric patients
- Assess educational needs, develop creative learning experiences, and evaluate outcomes
- Build and deliver interactive competencies using modern teaching and active-learning approaches
- Support onboarding, professional development, and ongoing clinical education for multiple departments
- Help shape practice through evidence-based research, clinical expertise, and collaborative leadership
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
- Master's degree strongly preferred
- Five or more years of clinical nursing experience
- At least three years in a primarily pediatric environment (Peds ED, PICU, or inpatient pediatrics)
- Current Massachusetts RN license
- BLS (within 3 months of hire)
- PALS or PEARS (within 3 months of hire)
- Pediatric specialty certification preferred
- Membership in a professional nursing organization preferred
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Creative approach to education, curriculum design, and program development
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to lead, influence, and support staff through change
- Deep understanding of child development and the impact of illness and hospitalization
- Appreciation for therapeutic play as a component of pediatric care
- Tech-savvy with the ability to use digital tools to enhance learning
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
Be part of a community hospital that values collaboration, growth, and compassion. At Emerson, educators are trusted partners who help shape practice-not just maintain it. Your voice, ideas, and professional expertise truly matter here.
