Duties and Responsibilities- Provides medical services at the scope and level of a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant.
- Systematically assesses urgent or emergent health needs, analyzes data, and formulates a care plan with the medical team, aligned with the employee’s capabilities and job requirements.
- Recognizes and treats illnesses and injuries according to established operating instructions within licensure and state regulations.
- Records and maintains patient information per standard protocols and privacy regulations.
- Identifies and records signs and symptoms of physical and mental conditions.
- Uses initiative, judgment, problem-solving and decision-making daily; makes independent judgments and prioritizes workload.
- Pursues professional development and continuing education to stay current with practices and trends in emergency medical treatment.
- Monitors reconciliation of financial transactions and ensures contract charges are applied consistently.
- Protects patient privacy through confidentiality, infection control, proper medication administration, and proper storage/maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant program and hold a NCCPA, AANP or ANCC certification.
- Active and unrestricted NP/PA license, eligible for credentialing under Acuity policy.
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience as Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant.
- Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification required.
- Advance Trauma Life Support (ATLS) required before deployment.
- Clinical experience in direct patient care within the past year (at least 6 months) for healthcare providers and medical support staff.
- Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, organized, and communicate effectively.
- Proficiency with computers and MS Office products.
- Flexibility to adapt to changes, including potential shift changes based on operational needs.
- Strong problem-solving skills to research and resolve inquiries promptly.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency.
- Must be a US citizen or a permanent resident residing in the US for 3 of the past 5 years.
- Current adjudicated Department of Homeland Security clearance.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office environment.
- SEDentary and standing work; ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
