Job Summary
The Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide comprehensive care appropriate to neonates during high-risk deliveries and in a Level-2 nursery. Nursing care is provided in accordance with the stated philosophy and standards established by the Nursing Service Department, regulatory agencies and professional organizations. The Registered Nurse is accountable for the safety of nursing care they deliver or supervise.
The Registered Nurse is responsible to the patient and the family or significant others for the quality of direct and indirect nursing care delivered.
The Registered Nurse will work in the Special Care Nursery at Emerson Hospital, located at 133 Old Road to Nine Acre Corner, Concord, MA 01742. The schedule for this position is full-time, with an eve/night shift from 7p-7:30a.
Minimum Qualifications- Education
:
Graduate of professional accredited nursing school required. - Experience
:
Previous experience in special care nursing of newborns preferred. - Licensure and/or Certification
:
Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts required. BLS healthcare provider required. NRP required within 3 months of hire. - Skills
:
Basic nursing skills, communication skills, assessment skills, critical thinking skills, organizational skills, computer skills, and the ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Ability to maintain confidential information.
